SUMMER INTERN

We are seeeking a summer intern to assist engineers in electrical and mechanical characterization testing of probe cards and accessories.

They will work with our Manufacturing Engineers to develop multimedia (video, still pictures and text) work instructions to be used by our assembly department. This will entail working with design engineering and production to ensure the design intent is achieved at the lowest cost after considering safety and ergonomics.

May occasionally assist with basic production assembly and testing. This is a paid position.

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

As the highly qualified Manufacturing Engineer, you will apply your engineering and problem solving skills to troubleshoot fabrication, assembly and test processes in order to continuously improve product quality and production process throughput.  You will conceive and develop a variety of jigs and fixtures designed to increase productivity and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of our production team members.  SPC is used to measure process output and justify and prioritize improvement projects.  Our engineering is done in a standard office environment with production and testing done in controlled clean room environments.

This is a full-time position with an outstanding full benefits package including vested 401K; paid medical insurance for all employees; dental, life and vision insurance and flexible day shift hours all in a casual work environment.

A bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 2+ years of apllicable experience OR an associate's degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years experience, strong mechanical aptitude and electrical knowledge, experience with micro fabrication including metric units down to microns, knowledge and training in SPC, strong communication skills, and familiarity with engineering documentation are all required. The preferred candidate also experience with SolidWorks or similar software, Enterprise Software, operation and test procedure design for the Agilent 4156 or Keithley 4200, and basic fabrication and machining skills.

PRECISION ASSEMBLER

We are seeking seasoned individual with experience in soldering, cable assembly, and printed circuit board assembly. This person will assemble and test products for customers including tiles, cable harnesses and test equipment. The ideal candidate has a passion for perfection, the ability to work well in an unstructured environment, and a steady hand. We will train the candidate to use calibration and analysis equipment. Experience working under microscopes helpful.

CIRCUIT BOARD LAYOUT DESIGNER

We are looking for someone to be a contract Circuit Board Layout Designer, taking AutoCAD 2D files and converting them to the files necessary to allow us to fabricate circuit boards. This contract position would require varying hours per week at your work site, depending on the types of the projects we are working on, but we are looking to enter into an ongoing relationship with the successful candidate.

The boards we assemble are for our customers’ high performance electrical instruments and many are used at high temperatures. Most boards are two sided designs with minimal vias and can have up to 8 layers with fairly simple interconnection. The boards may have some signal filtering circuit components.

In addition to the ability to perform the basic responsibilities of this position, we need someone who can work from marked up drawings in order to maintain older designs and someone who can work backward from fabrication files to schematic and AutoCAD files. Also required is familiarity with a wide range of materials, for example Polyimide, Teflon, ceramic, etc.

Since Celadon may request assistance in the selection of fabrication suppliers, the preferred candidate will have direct experience with circuit board suppliers.
